Hi, I have a problem with the new function “Skip for future visits”. The tour now starts constantly after the user logs in, even though I have set the option “Run tour only N-times” to 1 (server-based). Before integrating this new feature, this worked perfectly. Now the tour starts permanently at every login.

The aim is that the user does not have to click “Allow the visitor to skip this tour for future visits” again, but that the visibility of the tour is only guaranteed the first time the start page is called up after login per user.

Thanks for your support, Philipp

Hi Tomas,

I have now intensively tested my tours again and it definitely does not work with the server setting and First N visits (1). I use the PRO version:

  • According to the first screenshot (marked in orange), the tour starts automatically again and again after logout and login for the user role, even if you lead it to the end. This is also independent of the browser (firefox, chrome, safari).
  • Only the browser activation for N visits works - but only as long as the cookies have not been deleted and only the same browser has been used

Before the update and thus before implementing the "Skip for future visit" function, the server function worked perfectly across all browsers with the same IP address and showed my tour only 1x when setting "First visits only" = 1

Best regards, Philipp

Hello Philipp,

Sorry to hear, that it still doesn't work for you.

I can't replicate an issue. It works for me correctly. Could you create a testing member account at your staging environment, and send me URL, where this issue occurs? If so, also activate a Debug console output in global options of plugin, so I can see some debug information in developer console.

Also please send full configuration screenshot, not just a part. You can use this https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/gofullpage-full-page-scre/fdpohaocaechififmbbbbbknoalclacl?hl=en&pli=1

to capture it all.

The reason why it doesn't work is, that you have disabled WordPress REST API.

Can you check your permalink structure settings?
If you use Plain permalink settings, WordPress doesn't open its API. Not all plugins and themes use that, but many yes like our plugin. So generally it is not a good practice to set Plain permalink structure from many reasons (SEO included)
Let me know if this is your case please.
