Hi @admin

We would also need this feature. Can I get access to the beta version? 🙂

Thanks.

Cheers

Hi everyone,

New release is up so no need beta version for URL variables anymore. From version 2.4.0 you can add variable part into URL. For example:

/product/{product-id}

Note, that {product-id} is just identifier and you can use whatever string, that you can use in next steps.

hi @admin

That's great I just updated to the new release and tried to achive it. It now shows on the profile page that a tour is here but it do not trigger and I cannot edit it with the visual builder.

Can you help me with this?

Thanks

Thank you for the update, it is working well with the BuddyBoss profiles "trick". The variables in URL "tip" could be changed a bit to be a little more helpful, for instance change it from just:

Eg. /products/{product-id}?variant={product-variant}

change it to:

Eg. /products/{product-id}?variant={product-variant}
      product-id=(enter YOUR product id here without parenthesis)
      product-variant=(enter YOUR product variant here without parenthesis)

Just an idea, thank you for all the work you've put into this!

Nice to hear that it works for you. Thanx for your tip. I'll adjust it in next release.

@danila-schmidt-1056

Your 1st step URL was not set to member page with variable user name. I set it to

/mein-steckbrief/{username}

and it seems to work now.

Hey all,

Did this get resolved? Its marked that is has but I see see the solution?

I'm struggling too as a buddyboss user, the theme has the a feature where the /members/me/ variable resolves to /members/member-name/ url.

This is causing the following issue. I can pass a multi-page tour to the /members/me/ page, but when buddyboss resolves the members page, the tour edit controls loop indefinitely.

Screenshots attached.

Any ideas? I've tried to get this working using many setups and this is the closest I have to a working solution.

Hey @craig-denton,

Please see attached picture. Try use this in step Page/Post/CPT URL
/members/{$current-user-login}/url

If the member name has the same format as $current_user->user_login, it should work.

If not, follow the description in the attached image or in your "Edit the step link" modal and configure your own system variable via our API.
